Kailash Mansarovar Aerial Darshan Itinerary

Day 1 Lucknow to Nepalgunj (about 190 km, 4 to 5 hours)

Today you’ll start the Kailash Mansarovar Aerial Darshan tour. You will be picked up from your hotel in Lucknow and driven to Nepalgunj in a private vehicle. The distance is about 190 km and the drive takes four to five hours, plus time for checks at the Rupaidiha border, so keep your ID handy. After the drive, you’ll have lunch at Nepalgunj. After lunch, you’ll visit Bageshwari Temple, which is revered as a Shakti Peeth and is regarded as the oldest temple in Banke district. In the evening you will be briefed at your hotel about the next day’s flight. After the briefing, you will have dinner and stay overnight at your hotel.

Day 2 Kailash Aerial Darshan

Have breakfast in the morning and then head to Nepalgunj Airport. From the airport, you will start your journey by chartered flight for the darshan of Holy Mount Kailash. The flight takes off only in clear weather, so there can be a wait at the airport. The flight duration is around one hour. Throughout the journey, you can hear the chanting of Bhajans and Shiv Chalisa. Panditji will be available to chant the mantras as you have Mount Kailash’s darshan from the aircraft window. You will see the most auspicious South face of Kailash and the Holy Lake Mansarovar, and on a clear day the rarely seen East face. During the flight, you’ll also see other peaks of far-western Nepal such as Mount Saipal, Mount Api, and Nampa. After the darshan, the flight returns to Nepalgunj and you will stay overnight at your hotel.

Day 3 Departure to Lucknow

After breakfast, you’ll drive back to Lucknow. It will take around four to five hours, plus time at the border, to reach Lucknow. After reaching Lucknow, you will head to your home destination on your own, taking back the memories of this sacred Darshan.
